For the October 20th installment of SBS show "Healing Camp", the "nation's villain" Lee Yoo Ri talked about her days as a rookie, when she was struggling to make a name for herself.
In the episode, Lee Yoo Ri stated that she would be confused with Fin.K.L's Sung Yuri due to the similarities in their names. To the "Healing Camp" MC Sung Yuri's surprise, Lee Yoo Ri said,
"During my rookie days, Sung Yuri's group Fin.K.L was gaining a lot of interest. Yet of all things, I had a difficult time because we had the same name 'Yuri'."
She continued on to say, "When it would be announced that a Yuri was appearing, people would happily say, 'Yuri appeared,' and think that Sung Yuri had come. When they realized that it was Lee Yoo Ri [that was coming], they wouldn't hide their disappointment."
Lee Yoo Ri stated that she was overshadowed by the trending stars at the time to the point where she would have a difficult time getting a role. She admitted, "I was dropped from auditions more than 100 times."
When she was asked what roles she had auditioned for, she said, "Kim Tae Hee's role in the drama 'Stairway to Heaven'." Lee Yoo Ri went on to say, "It makes sense that I failed the audition," paying respects to her fellow actress.
