Luhan, former member of popular K-pop boy band EXO has been caught in a controversy for illegally working in Taiwan. Based on reports from local media outlet ETtoday, he left for Taipei on Monday to shoot an episode of variety program “Back to School.” However, he only has a tourist visa and is not eligible to work there.
As per the nation’s relevant laws, he could be prohibited from entering the country for up to 5 years. The local immigration bureau stated that he definitely violated visa rules, and they will take action depending on the results of its investigation.
A producer of the TV program released an official statement saying, “Our lack of experience caused this problem, and we will take care of him.” They are currently discussing whether Luhan should stay in the country to finish the shooting or be sent to China.
