Park Byung-ho of the Minnesota Twins picked up his first hit in his debut game in Major League Baseball on Monday. Park batted sixth in the lineup as a designated hitter against the Baltimore Orioles. His first hit came at his second at-bat with one out in the top of the fifth inning when he lined a single to center off Tyler Wilson.

In the top of the seventh, Park was hit by a pitch in the thigh by Mychal Givens with one out and a runner on second base. He reached third base when Eduardo Escobar hit a double, and scored the tying run when Kurt Suzuki hit a sacrifice fly to bring the game to 2-2. However, the Twins surrendered a walk-off homer to Matt Wieters in the bottom of the ninth and lost the game 3-2.

Park finished the game with one hit and one run in three at-bats. Meanwhile, Kim Hyun-soo of the Baltimore Orioles did not get a chance to play as he remained in the dugout, watching his team win.
