A new poll shows an overwhelming majority of university students have a very low opinion of the politicians that represent them. In a survey conducted by a local newspaper on nearly 2,000 college students in August and September, 85 percent of respondents said politicians were the most unreliable group in the country.
Journalists were next on the list at around 7 percent, followed by soldiers and businessmen at about 2 percent each. As for the most reliable, almost 16 percent pointed to themselves, university students, and then to non-profits and farmers. More than a quarter said corruption was one of the most pressing issues here, followed by the widening gap between the rich and the poor.
