Upon hearing news of SHINee's Jonghyun's passing, 'Night Goblin' offers their condolences. SHINee's Jonghyun and Minho had recorded an episode with the variety show in Incheon, the preview released on December 17th and the actual episode to be aired on the 24th. They have responded that they have yet to discuss plans for the broadcast. The news has left everyone devastated. Producer Lee Ji Sun stated that, "Jonghyun participated in the filming in a bright mood as always. It's unfortunate to come across such sad news." Other staff members have commented that, "He seemed very bright. It's heartbreaking."
As of current, the preview of the episode with SHINee's Jonghyun and Minho has been taken down.
Fans are divided in what they feel should happen to the episode. Many are stating that the episode shouldn't be aired due to the collective grief felt by everyone, many are stating that it should be aired (but at a later date) because it would allow everyone to see him happy one last time, and many are stating that the decision should be left to his family.
It's unsure of what will happen but whatever is decided, we hope that the decision be respected and that it'll be respectful to Jonghyun and everyone close to him.
Rest in peace, Jonghyun. We'll miss you greatly.
