North Korean leader Kim Jong-un is expected to make his debut on the international stage at the Asian-African Conference in Indonesia on April 24, the Kompas news agency reported Tuesday.
Mochamad Ridwan Kamil, the mayor of Bandung, where the conference is held, told Kompas on Monday that world leaders, "including Kim Jong-un, plan to attend the 60th anniversary ceremony of the Bandung Conference."
Kamil added, "If Bandung becomes the destination of North Korean leader Kim Jong-un's first overseas visit, Bandung will once again go down in history."
An Asia-Africa Summit will be held in Jakarta on April 22 and 23 and celebrate the 60th anniversary of the Bandung Conference.
