Now, the network has officially released an apology and statement on the matter to relay their thoughts.
Mnet relayed, “We offer words of apology and feel deeply embarrassed by this misunderstanding, caused by a word previously used in an interview to attempt to describe the successful formula for the upcoming male version of ‘Produce 101’ [as] ‘powerful content that’s impossible to take one’s eyes off of’.”
In the statement, the program further profusely apologizes for the discomfort that the situation may have caused viewers who have loved and supported the program.
