For all the new college students, or even the returning ones, you need to think about how to decorate your small dorm room! Here are some ideas from Korean dramas to help make your dorm the best one in your building.

1. Fluffy Blanket - My Love From the Star and Heirs

A nice, fluffy blanket is an essential in any room. Not only will it keep you warm, but it also adds personality to your room. Your bed will be the focus of your small room, so having a pretty blanket will bring the whole room together.

You can get a Cheon Song Yi style blanket from Urban Outfitters for $99, or a cheaper alternative is a gray throw from Amazon for $24.99, similar to Lee Bo Na’s from Heirs.

2. Cute Throw Pillows - My Love from the Star and A Gentleman’s Dignity

You can also add a lot of pretty throw pillows to make your space look cute and cozy!

Get the Naver Line character pillows seen in My Love From the Star from Ebay or colorful throw pillows like the ones in A Gentleman’s Dignity from Target!

3. Telescope - My Love From the Star

If you love to star-gaze or want to look sophisticated, you could get a telescope for your room! A small one easily sits on a table, and you can pretend you’re Do Min Joon as you look through it.

Here is a portable version for $39.99 from Amazon.

4. Canopy - My Girl

A bed canopy is a beautiful addition to any bed, and it’s sure to make you feel like a princess!

You can get one just like the one in My Girl from Macy’s for $40.

5. Bean Bag Chairs - You’re Beautiful

There really isn’t going to be a comfortable place to sit once you get to your dorm, so a bean bag chair is a great addition to your room because it’ll give you somewhere to sit and is also a nice statement piece for decoration.

Get a You’re Beautiful look-alike bean bag chair from Wayfair for $66.99.

6. Plants - My Love From the Star and Rooftop Prince

Okay, so maybe you can’t have an ENTIRE tree in your room like these dramas, but it’s nice to have a little green in your room. Succulents have the best chance of surviving and are super trendy so they are your best bet!

Get real succulents at 1800Flowers or fake ones (for the truly lazy) at Target.

7. Dry erase board - It’s Okay That’s Love

Having a dry erase board in your room can be really convenient and can also add some color to your dorm. You could choose to do a minimalist style like Jae Yeol or choose to add more color!

You can get a smaller dry erase board from Amazon for $10.17.

8. Speakers - Rooftop Prince

You can get the exact ones from Rooftop Prince on Amazon, but it will cost you $400! If you’re a broke college student, these more affordable speakers from Target are also pretty cute.

9. Stuffed Animals - City Hunter

You might think stuffed animals are only for kids, but in college, when everyone is away from home, a lot of people like to keep stuffed animals for comfort. Not only is it adorable, but you can hug it when you sleep, and no one will judge!

Here is a cute monkey from Amazon like the one Nana from City Hunter has.

How are you going to decorate your room this year?
