On February 19, over 11,000 netizens had sent a petition to the blue house that requested to cancel the 2020 SBS Inkigayo Super Concert in Daegu due to the rising numbers of coronavirus cases.
Inkigayo is set to take place on March 8 at the Daegu Stadium (capacity 30,000). SBS announced on February 19 that they have delayed application requests for audiences, but did not mention any delay or cancellation of the event itself.
The strong demand to cancel the concert is due to the 15 new cases of coronavirus reported in the Daegu/Kyungbuk region. Furthermore, due to the rising numbers and ongoing threat of coronavirus, many public events have been either cancelled or made private, including school graduations, opening ceremonies, and even K-pop events.
Should the concert not be cancelled, the artist lineup for the 2020 SBS Inkigayo Super Concert in Daegu include BTS, NCT 127, SF9, Zico, Weki Meki, The Boyz, Pentagon, and Cherry Bullet.
