The Korean bakery chain Paris Baguette will open a store in Malaysia next year, adding to its string of overseas shops in China, France, Singapore, Vietnam and the U.S. The SPC Group, which operates Paris Baguette, said on Tuesday that it signed a franchise contract with the Naza Group, Malaysia's largest privately-owned conglomerate.
Under the agreement, Naza plans to open the first Paris Baguette outlet in Kuala Lumpur in the first half of next year. The Malaysian group was originally founded as a bakery in the 1960s, and has since expanded into the auto, property development, hotel and food and beverage industries.
