Park Hae Jin To Be Printed on Chinese Stamps
Kyung Ho Kim, April 18, 2016, 8:33 a.m.
Actor Park Hae-jin will be featured on Chinese postage stamps, Chinese media reported Monday. The stamps are part of the Dream China project jointly organized by China’s Ministry of Communications and China Post to recognize the 100 most influential cultural figures in China. Though other Korean stars have had their faces on limited editions of Chinese stamps, Park is the first Korean to be on Chinese stamps that are released as both regular issue and limited edition.
The limited edition sets are priced at 698 yuan ($108) and regular stamps cost 0.8 yuan each. China Post will take reservations for the limited editions sets in May, and the regular stamps along with prepaid phone cards that also feature Park will be issued in August. Park gained popularity in China with Hunan TV’s drama series “Duo Duo‘s Marriage” in 2011. He rose to fame with SBS TV drama “My Love from the Star” in 2013 and tvN’s “Cheese in the Trap” this year. Park has starred in numerous Chinese dramas and TV shows, winning the best actor award at the Chinese LETV Awards on April 13. Meanwhile, Park’s upcoming fan meeting will be held at SK Olympic Handball Gymnasium in Seoul at 5 p.m. on April 23. It will be broadcast on Chinese video website Youku in real time.
