The drama in the JYJ Yoochun sexual assault scandal continues on. On June 15, police confirmed that Ms. Lee has withdrawn her sexual assault claim against JYJ's Yoochun, after several previous reports which went back and forth on her decision about the claim.
According to reports, the victim identified as Ms. Lee gave this statement to police, "There was no force during the sexual intercourse with Park Yoochun, but I filed the claim because I felt that he and his group saw me as an easy person."
Law Enforcement has responded with ”Because the final decision to penalize the accused doesn't necessary depend on the accuser's perspective, we must carefully determine whether to continue the investigation or not."
However, despite Ms. Lee withdrawing her sexual assault claim, he Seoul Gangnam Police Station has stated it will continue to investigate Yoochun for sexual assault. On June 15, a rep from the police station stated, "The suit has been withdrawn, but the investigation into the incident will continue. It's so we can come to a clear conclusion about the suspicions against Yoochun. It's likely that Yoochun and the accuser will be summoned if necessary."
