President Park Geun Hye to Attend Trio of Asian Summits

President Park Geun-hye will visit China, Burma and Australia from Nov. 9 to 17 to attend the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation summit, the East Asia and ASEAN+3 summit, and the G-20 summit.
The 22nd APEC summit is held on Nov. 9-12 in Beijing, where she will also meet with her Chinese counterpart Xi Jinping on the sidelines to discuss North Korean issues and the Seoul-Beijing free trade pact. Park will also hold a sit-down with Saudi crown prince Salman bin Abdulaziz.
She then moves on to the Burmese capital of Naypyidaw on Nov. 12-13 for the ninth EAS and 17th ASEAN+3 summit, and to the G-20 summit in Brisbane, Australia on Nov. 14-16. There has been no indication that she will comply with Japanese demands for a summit with Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe on the sidelines of any of these events.
