Produce 101 Contestants Lee Hae In and Lee Soo Hyun File Lawsuit to Terminate Their Contract

Produce 101 contestants Lee Hae In and Lee Soo Hyun have filed a lawsuit to terminate their contracts with SS Entertainment. On May 19, Their legal representative stated that their contracts are excessively long and its scope too broad that it affects their freedom regarding economic activity. The two trainees were also promised to debut within the year, but this was not kept. Besides this, they did not receive sufficient vocal and dance training while in the company. SS Entertainment then responded by stating that they will review the two trainees' complaints.


The lawyer further stated Lee Hae In and Lee Soo Hyun were not given the proper vocal or dance training, and SS Entertainment failed to debut them within a year as agreed upon. The agency commented, "We learned of their lawsuit through headlines. We're opening up channels for discussion and will announce our stance afterwards."

SS Entertainment is a South Korean record label. It currently represents boy group The Legend and previously Eun Ji-won and Gilme. Their legal representative stated that their contracts are excessively long and its scope too broad that it affects their freedom regarding economic activity. The two trainees were also promised to debut within the year, but this was not kept. Besides this, they did not receive sufficient vocal and dance training while in the company.
