Korean Air heiress Cho Hyun-ah, who sprung from jail after her sentence was suspended on appeal last week, has decided not to appeal the ruling again. The law firm representing her said the decision came in order to "show her respect for the court's decision."
But prosecutors filed for an appeal on Thursday, so the Supreme Court will decide whether Cho violated the law by ordering a plane to change course. The heiress has spent 143 days in jail after hitting flight crew and forcing a plane to return to the gate at New York's JFK International Airport in early December because she had been served macadamia nuts in a bag instead of on a plate.
