Renault Samsung sold more than 20,000 cars in a month for the first time in three years. The company said Monday that its monthly sales in October reached 21,980, a 72.7 percent increase compared to a year ago.
The carmaker sold 7,360 cars in the domestic market, up 37.6 percent, and 14,620 vehicles abroad, up 98.1 percent. This is the first time since October 2011 that its monthly sales topped 20,000.
"The increase in sales is mainly due to the popularity of the recently launched large sedan SM7 Nova and mid-sized diesel sedan SM5," a spokesman of the automaker said.
