Samsung to Release Software Upgrades for Red Tint on Galaxy S8

Samsung said Friday that it will release a software upgrade to get rid of the annoying red tint on some screens of the new Galaxy S8 smartphone.
The move aims to nip another scandal in the bud after a catastrophic defect in the Galaxy Note7 caused several to catch fire and led to the phones being pulped.
A Samsung staffer said the software update will be released next week, adding it will give users more detailed color adjustment options. The software will update automatically.
The company says that the tint is due to the color settings rather than defective components.
