Although recent news reported that rookie actress Kang Doo Ri, most known for her role in KBS's 'Sassy Go Go', passed away on December 14th KST in a car accident, it seems that recent updates beg to differ. It's come to light that the actress did not actually die in a vehicular accident, but was actually found deceased in her own home.
Police reports stated that Kang Doo Ri was found dead, with no evidence of any struggle or invasion, inciting suspicions that this may be a case of suicide. The 22-year old actress was said to have messaged a friend prior to her death, suggesting that she planned to take her own life. Police found records of messages the young actress wrote, stating that she was having a difficult time with some "bad personal problems". Kang Doo Ri mentioned that her issues seemed to have improved after the completion of her drama, but soon worsened again. In a message to her friend, the former BJ shared that she was trying her best to be brave, and also apologized for her actions, but did not state what she had done.
Kang Doo Ri's death is still under investigation as her funeral procession will continue to take place on December 16th at 1:00 PM KST.
The 1993-born actress was best known as a popular online BJ (broadcast jockey) before making her television debut in 2010 through the drama 'Three Brothers'. We relay our condolences to Kang Doo Ri's family and loved ones.
