An American activist group last Thursday revealed rare satellite photos showing inmates of one of North Korea's most notorious prison camps, Camp No. 25 in Chongjin, North Hamgyong Province.

Images from the Committee for Human Rights in North Korea show prisoners harvesting crops and guards keeping watch, as well as a watchtower.

They were made possible by civilian satellites in orbit that offer good enough resolution to distinguish individual inmates.
