The search for four Koreans and their Nepali guides in the Himalayas continues for a sixth straight day.

Special Nepalese forces have been deployed, while drones equipped with thermal imaging cameras have also been mobilized to inspect the ascent on Mt. Annapurna where they went missing in an avalanche.

The missing Koreans, all teachers from an education office in South Choongcheong Province, had gone on a trekking expedition with five colleagues who survived.

Their three Nepali guides also remain unaccounted for.

Search efforts have been underway since the accident last Friday but have at times been hindered by bad weather.

The five survivors returned home on Wednesday and will be getting counseling and support.
