Seoul Has The 9th Most Expensive Starbucks Latte In The World

Seoul ranks ninth out of 29 cities worldwide in terms of the price of a Starbucks latte, a convenient index to see how much a dollar is worth in a given country. Zurich, Switzerland ranks at the top of the "latte index" with US$5.76 compared to the global average of $3.37. Hong Kong and Singapore came next with $4.36 and $4.24, followed by Beijing and Shanghai with $4.22.
In Seoul a cup of Starbucks' latte costs $3.76, 11.36 percent more expensive than the average. The price is $3.26 in Tokyo, the only East Asian city where it is lower than the global average.
Cairo has the cheapest latte at only $1.53 a cup. In New York it costs $3.45 and in London $2.84.
