Seoul to Have Electric Powered Taxis
D-Bo , Sept. 1, 2014, 9:04 a.m.
Beginning in September, Seoul, Korea will have 10 electric-powered taxis offering their services around the capital. The city government says they are on a trial-run until next April. Instead of the customary orange they are turquoise to suggest that they are better for the environment.
The fare for the electric cabs is the same as for regular ones, starting at W3,000 (US$1=W1,014). The cost for charging the cars will be paid by the city and the Korea Environment Corporation.
