SM Entertainment and Kris and Luhan Fail to Find Agreement
SWAG-Tastic Voyage, June 5, 2015, 9:33 a.m.
In the case regarding SM Entertainment and the former EXO members Kris and Luhan, the two sides were forced by the court to find a favorable agreement, but it looks like SM Entertainment is fed up and refusing to cooperate due to them feeling that the situation is unfair to them.
SM Entertainment raised an objection for the decision of compulsory arbitration at the Seoul Central District Court, stating that they would not be willing to accept it. The reasons for SM Entertainment's formal objection haven't been revealed yet.
A compulsory arbitration means that in the case an agreement isn't reached by the disputing parties, the court will be officially authorizing arbitration forcefully with the conditions for reconciliation. If one side raises an objection within the timeframe of two weeks, then the reconciliation will fail to be established and the parties will be moving forward into a lawsuit.
Neither Kris or Luhan objected to the arbitration, but SM Entertainment chose to do so, refusing to accept the terms which caused the agreement to fall through.
