Song Ji-hyo from the TV show “Running Man” featured as a judge in the cinematography project “2016 China Toto Project.” Forty-two students participated in the project, which ran from July 29 to Aug 6 in Chengdu University of Technology and CGV Chengdu Jinniu IMAX theater.
The students were divided into six teams and tasked with producing a 10-minute-clip and creating posters and marketing means to go with it. First prize went to “God of Cooking,” a short film about a cook who finds out the meaning of life. A student from the winning team told local media, “I want to be a movie director when I grow up, and this event enabled me to learn what I specifically need to do to achieve my dream.”
While serving as a judge, Song also discussed her acting career with the students. She said in an interview with local media, “I was able to learn a lot from the passion shown by the young students.”
“Toto Project,” is a cinematography lesson provided to students by the CJ Group, a Korean entertainment company, and was launched in 2008. The program expanded overseas in 2011 and has been held in countries such as China, Vietnam, and Indonesia.
