Korea was reelected on Monday to the council of the International Telecommunications Union for the seventh straight time and will assume another 4-year term in January.
The union's 193 member countries discuss global issues on information and telecommunications before a final decision is made by the 48-member council. Korea joined the union in 1952 and has been a member of the council since 1989.
