South Korea Set To Play Japan In The Opener Of The New Asia Baseball Championship

Korea will face Japan in the opening game of the Asia Professional Baseball Championship in Tokyo. The inaugural APBC sanctioned by the World Baseball Softball Confederation runs until Sunday. The match will get underway on Thursday and right-hander Jang Hyun-sik will be Korea's starter.
The event features professional players from Korea, Japan and Chinese Taipei under 24 years of age or those with less than three years of professional experience.
Korea will face Chinese Taipei on Friday.
