All kindergartens and daycare centers across the country will be required to install CCTVs as early as December. The Ministry of Health and Welfare announced the measure on Thursday as relevant laws go into effect in the latter half of this year.
Under the new law, kindergartens and daycare centers have to set up surveillance cameras in their facilities. When a child abuse or safety problem is suspected, parents can request to see CCTV footage.
