Prosecutors on Wednesday demanded a five-year jail term for a university student for injuring his professor with a homemade bomb in early June. The 25-year-old postgraduate student at Yonsei University in western Seoul was arrested for delivering the bomb -- a drink tumbler filled with gunpowder and bolts -- to the professor's office. The professor only suffered minor burns as the bomb didn't fully detonate. The defendant, surnamed Kim, told police he was angry at the professor for scolding him about his thesis. The court is due to make its ruling late next month.
