South Korean film "Microhabitat" has been named the top feature film at the 17th New York Asian Film Festival, which closed recently, the film's local distributor said Wednesday. The debut feature by Jeon Go-woon won the Tiger Uncaged Award for Best Feature Film, beating out six other titles on Sunday, CGV Arthouse said, adding that it was the only Korean title that advanced to the main competition category this year.
Written and directed by Jeon, the film follows Miso, a young urban woman who lives hand-to-mouth as a part-time housekeeper.
