Some 94 percent of Korean office workers own a smartphone, making the country the world's No. 1 in terms of cellphone ownership, a survey of 25 countries by the U.S. travel website Expedia revealed.
Mexico was second, followed by Hong Kong, Singapore and Thailand. Japan recorded the lowest rate at just over 50 percent. Koreans also had the highest ownership of other gadgets such as laptops and tablet PCs. Less than a fifth of Koreans surveyed said their company supplied them with their smartphone.
