SPICA’s Bohyun has taken to her social media Instagram to share with fans a handwritten letter. The letter reflects some her thoughts on SPICA leaving their label. Her letter is as follows:

"Dear Mercury,

First, I want to apologize to you guys who must've been startled by the sudden news with our 5th anniversary approaching soon... After giving it long thought, our members came to the conclusion to focus on individual promotions for now, and we were in discussion with our label about our contract termination.

My mind was uneasy thinking about the worried fans following the sudden news, but I wanted to take care of the situation and deliver clear details so I am just now speaking up.

As of now, I can't tell you when exactly the 5 members of SPICA will promote together... But I wanted to emphasize that now is not the end. We'll do well in our own places! So please give encouragement to each member.

SPICA was happy and very happy due to the memories Mercury has gifted us the past 5 years..! It was a time that we cannot describe with words, and in whatever form SPICA exists, don't forget that we're with Mercury always and forever! I love you, Mercury.

Two, three, this was SPICA!"

SPICA was a South Korean girl group formed in 2012 under B2M Entertainment. The group consisted of Kim Boa, Park Sihyun, Park Narae, Yang Jiwon and Kim Bohyung.
