Oh Seung-hwan of the St. Louis Cardinals made his Major League Baseball debut on Sunday. Oh pitched one scoreless inning in the season's opening game against the Pittsburgh Pirates. He threw 27 pitches, walked two and struck out two.
Oh stepped onto the mound in the bottom of the seventh inning when the Cardinals were down 3-0, taking over for starter Adam Wainwright. "I wondered whether my pitches would work against MLB hitters, but after pitching, I became confident," Oh said.
