Fans might have been confused when CSJH The Grace’s Stephanie had a solo release with “Prisoner”, not with SM Entertainment but with Mafia Records. People wondered whether she had left SM Entertainment and Stephanie has now stepped forward in order to straighten out the confusion in an interview session with a couple of media outlets.
She said, "I'm still an SM Entertainment artist. I'm promoting now through Mafia Records through a 'consignment agreement'." Stephanie then showed her fondness for the agency saying, “For the past 12 years, I haven't even once had a dispute with the people that work at SM Entertainment."
She then added, "Actually, after I [temporarily] left SM, I realized just how precious each broadcast schedule and each line of every article [about me] are. I realized that it had been because of the hard work and efforts of the people behind me that I'm able to stand where I am now. Because of them, I'm able to promote as much as I want and I'm so glad."
She mentioned that it was more difficult to secure television appearances and such without the name of SM Entertainment behind her, and she is currently promoting her solo release under Mafia Records. It seems like leaving SM temporarily might have helped her further realize and feel grateful for the support and backing that is given with a large agency like SM Entertainment.
