Kyuhyun of Super Junior is set to drop a new single on May 24, a day before joining the military, according to S.M. Entertainment. The agency said Monday that the new single titled “Goodbye for now” will be released via local music streaming sites on May 24 at 6 p.m. The upcoming song’s Chinese and Japanese version will also be released on the same day in China and Japan.
The singer is scheduled to join the military on May 25. Due to physical injuries from a car accident in 2007, he was ordered to fulfill his military duty as a public service worker.
Before the enlisting, Kyuhyun will also hold a special fan meeting titled “The Day We Meet Again” on May 20 at the Grand Peace Hall at Kyung Hee University in Seoul. The singer, who debuted in 2006 through Super Junior, became well-known for his vocals and appeared in several variety shows including MBC‘s “Radio Star.”
The new single is available for pre-order from Monday to May 15 via online music sites such as Yes24 and in-store at Kyobo Hottracks.
