Tazza 2 Experiences Incredible Success at the Box Office

Korean movie Tazza 2 has seen more than 1.5 million viewers in theaters since its release. It ranked first by a big margin despite competition being posed from other recently released films like 'Lucy' which came in second, and 'My Brilliant Life' which ranked third. With a added boost from the Chuseok holiday, the movie saw an additional jump and is nearing the 1.6 million mark.
Tazza 2 is a South Korean gambling film directed by Kang Hyeong-cheol based on Huh Young-man and Kim Se-yeong's manhwa of the same name. The movie is about Dae-gil, a young man with a natural-born talent in gambling, makes a dazzling debut as a gambler, which leads to a reunion with his first love, Mi-na. However, in the world of card sharks and con artists, a web of conspiracy and betrayal makes Dae-gil the scapegoat of a deal gone wrong and he is forced to go on the run. He plans his revenge and prepares for one big, fateful game, as Mi-na helps him every step of the way.
On a side note, Tazza 2 star Big Bang member T.O.P was aunableto attend promotions for the movie after becoming sick. The idol is trying to get better after catching a cold. A rep stated, "[T.O.P] worked really hard to promote the movie. He's currently receiving an IV drip and taking a rest. We hope he makes a complete recovery as Big Bang's concert is taking place this weekend."
