'The Return of Superman' PD Shares Sadness about Song Triplets Departure from Show

As fans get ready to bid the Song triplets good-bye on 'The Return of Superman', it looks like the show's head PD Kang Bong Gyu is feeling the same sadness many viewers are experiencing as well. In a phone interview with 'Star News', the producer shared that he had completed the final edits for the boys' last episode.
He confessed, "Just thinking about their last episode makes me incredibly sad [...] Even after completing filming, I was able to see their faces every day as I edited their episodes, so it really seems like I spent the last 582 days with them, starting with their first episode on June 6, 2014 to their last on February 7, 2016."
The PD further added, "Maybe because it was the last editing session for them, but I couldn't stop looking at their videos today. I feel so sad thinking that this is the last time I could see them. My heart felt stuffy, and I even got teary-eyed. I can never forget the time that Song Il Gook and his triplets spent with us on 'The Return of Superman'. It feels as though I must have done something great in my previous lifetime. I'm so happy I was able to film with such good people. I look forward to seeing Song Il Gook's amazing acting in the future, and I hope that the triplets grow up healthy and happy."
The Song triplets and Song Il Gook will be bidding the show adieu this coming Sunday, February 7th.
