“Hello?! Orchestra” would mark as the first Korean Program to have gone to the International Emmy’s, and won!  The 4-part music documentary series aired last year on MBC, and won the award for Best Arts Programming during the annual awards ceremony in New York.

This documentary in particular was filmed over the duration of 1 year. The documentary focuses on a group of children, ranging from a number of diverse cultural backgrounds in Ansan, Gyeonggi Province. Violist Richard Yong-jae O’Neill joined together with the children to form a small orchestra.

The film was subsequently remade due to strong response, and was turned into an 80 minute theatrical version, which is set to be released this week!
