The popular survival hip hop show Unpretty Rapstar has brought on two additional competitors to the show. The new rappers were revealed to be a Starship Entertainment trainee named Exy, and Rubber Soul's Kim.
Exy introduced herself as "I'm a trainee under Hyorin's label." Yubin and Jiyoon complained, "This is an uphill battle." Hyorin also expressed her discomfort, saying, "I don't know the trainees all that well. When I was a trainee, no one took care of me. So I don't take care of them either," trying to disassociate herself with Exy as much as possible.
During the interview with the production crew, Exy admitted, "I worried that they would say it's name selling. But if I wasn't talented, I don't think they would have let me on 'Unpretty Rapstar.'" Despite being a trainee, Exy proved herself a more than able rapper during her introductory rap and the battle with male rappers.
Unpretty Rapstar is a 2015 South Korean music competition program focusing on female rappers.
