What’s Next for Team Korea in the 2014 FIFA World Cup?

Korea suffered a demoralizing defeat against Algeria on Monday at the 2014 FIFA World Cup hosted in Brazil.  The Korean National team is now gearing up for the final match in Group H against Belgium on Thursday.  Korea still has a sliver-thin chance of advancing to the next stage if it beats group leader Belgium by a big margin.

Belgium has secured a place in the round of 16 with six points from two wins, with a plus-2 goal difference. Algeria, Korea, and Russia all have varying degrees of chances to qualify. Algeria is the frontrunner with three points and a plus-1 goal difference, while Korea and Russia both have one point, but Russia is better placed with a minus-1 goal difference to Korea's minus-2.

The best scenario is Korea beating Belgium and Russia beating Algeria.  Let’s go Team Korea! Fighting!
