Which Executives Make More Samsung or Apple?

According to a recent report by the Financial Times, the top three executives at Samsung all made more than Apple Chief Executive Officer Tim Cook last year. Samsung Electronics’ Vice Chairman Kwon Oh Hyun earned approximately $6.4 million US, while mobile business chief Shin Jong Kyun received approximately $5.9 million US, and lastly consumer electronics chief, Yoon Boo Keun earned approximately $4.8 million US.
Apple’s CEO Tim Cook earned a staggering $4.25 million US last year in addition to the $378 million US In nearly all deferred stock he received when taking over CEO position in 2011. The annual salaries of the three Samsung executives fell below the average annual paychecks of the U.S. companies on the Fortune 500 list ($10.5 million in 2012).
