Messages of sympathy have been pouring in from all around the world, in light of the Sewol Ferry tragedy. Queen Elizabeth II, U.K.'s Prime Minister David Cameron, and President of Russia's Vladimir Putin have led the forefront of showing South Korea their support and best wishes, offering what they can to help alleviate the immense sadness and anger felt by the people of Korea.
The spokesman for Cheong Wa Dae's Min Kyung-Wook stated that President Park Geun-Hye has received messages from a total of 45 heads of state, including both U.S. President Barack Obama and Chinese President Xi Jinping. Three international organizations, the United Nations, the Global Green Growth Institute and the International Organization for Migration have also all expressed their sympathies.
