On September 20th, it was reported that YG Entertainment is currently in the plans of launching a survival show for a male K-Pop group! With this new report, it means that YG Entertainment is in the process of launching two survival shows as it was reported yesterday on September 19th that YG Entertainment will be launching a survival show for a female K-Pop group.
The female K-Pop survival program was reported to be produced by PD Go Ik Jo, who was behind Mnet's 'Show Me the Money', 'High School Rapper', and 'Unpretty Rapstar'. The contestants of the show will be comprised of the trainees from YG Entertainment and from YG producer Teddy's sub-label 'The Black Label'. The show is aimed to premiere at the end of the year.
For the male K-Pop survival program, it was reported to follow the format of the shows 'WIN: Who Is Next' and 'MIX & MATCH'. The contestants for the show will be comprised of trainees from YG Entertainment as well as from other entertainment labels. Global trainees will also be included in the array of contestants. The show will be broadcasted through NaverTV, starting November. The show will not be conflicting with its female counterpart as the male K-Pop survival show will be taking place before the female K-Pop survival show.
