YTN released a report stating that woman B who sued Zest member A for rape was a female idol, and left the public to make their own guesses and assumptions as to who B could possibly be. In response, ZEST's agency Zenith Star Entertainment spoke up to reveal that "B" was not a currently promoting idol, but instead a former one.
On March 6th the company said, "We heard 'B' is from an idol background. However, the group she was in disbanded without having promoted properly. She has stopped all activities as a celebrity."
It was revealed that ZEST member A was born in 1996, while the female idol B was born in 1991. When the two met some time back in November, A was still underage.
Zenith Star Entertainment denied all allegations stating, "It's true that the two met last year. However, 'B' suddenly sued for rape after they stopped seeing each other. She is saying that she is the victim. It is an absurd situation for us."
In regards to their potential comeback, the agency shared with Sport's Today, "ZEST's next album was originally planned to be released in early April. But we will only be able to release new material after this matter is resolved."
